Job Title: Fabricator / Welder
Location: Coalville, Leicestershire
Employment Type: Permanent | Full Time | Monthly Paid

A well-established heavy engineering and manufacturing business, serving the quarrying and aggregate industries, is seeking skilled Fabricator / Welders to join their Fabrication Shop. This business is known for producing high-quality material handling equipment and components.

The Role

• Fabricating and welding heavy gauge steel components in line with engineering drawings.
• Working closely with other fabricators, welders and production staff to meet deadlines.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and ensuring all work complies with internal quality standards.
• Completing production records and job paperwork accurately and on time.
• Following strict health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE.
• Reporting defects, issues or near misses promptly.
• Participating in toolbox talks and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Need

• Proven experience as a fabricator and/or welder in a heavy engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong MIG welding skills (heavy gauge steel).
• High attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Flexible approach towards overtime when required (particularly for PM shift).
• Reliable, punctual and safety conscious.

Shifts Available

• PM Shift (Mon to Thurs)
• Hours: 14:15 to 00:30 (38.75 hours per week)
• Up to £18.68 per hour (including shift premium)
• Overtime available (paid at enhanced rates after 48 hours per week), e.g., Friday evenings
• All staff are paid monthly on the last working day of the month.
