A family-run cable distributor in Swindon seeks an experienced Warehouse Operative to handle picking, packing, and operating forklifts. Job description

Overview

Experienced Warehouse Operative – Cheltenham. Busy, well established, family run cable distributor requires full time experienced warehouse operative.

Hours

Hours 8.30 am - 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. One hour for lunch.

Duties

• Picking & packing orders.
• Operating counterbalance & narrow aisle forklift trucks. (training will be given if you don't have a licence)
• Winding cable onto reels to the customers' requirements.
• Handling both incoming and outgoing deliveries.
• Plus, other general warehouse duties.

Requirements

• Reliable and trustworthy
• Hard working, physically fit, and comfortable with heavy lifting.
• Able to work as part of a team
• Capable of maintaining attention to detail.
• Existing forklift licence preferable, but not essential.
• Part-time applicants will be considered.

Experience

Previous warehouse experience not essential but would be welcome.

Salary and Benefits

Starting salary - £10.42/hr rising to living wage once 3 months probation is successfully completed. Monthly target / accuracy bonus scheme, and opportunity for overtime.
