We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as an Executive Personal Assistant to join our People Function team.

Job Type : 12 month FTC

Location : This is a London-based role, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. These days must align with the Chief People Officer’s on-site schedule. There will also be travel between Birmingham, Edinburgh and London offices for Leadership Team meetings.

Flexible working : All of our roles are open to part-time, job-share and other types of flexibility. We will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process.

Salary and benefits : £53,000 -£63,000 DOE plus an indicative bonus range of 16-32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more

The role

We’re currently recruiting for an Executive Personal Assistant to join our People Team supporting our Chief People Officer to provide an efficient, effective and highly confidential administrative and secretarial support service. Role holders are fully involved in all their business activities including supporting their work, sometimes of a sensitive nature, linked to business strategy. The ability to work independently and collaboratively, comfortable taking initiative and working autonomously, while also contributing effectively as part of a team to achieve organisational goals is key for this role.

What are we looking for?
  • Proven experience supporting an ExCo / Board executive, preferably a CPO before in an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or similar role providing high‑level administrative and organisational support to senior executives
  • Exceptional organisational and time‑management skills, with a track record of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. Ability to manage competing demands while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, experience in preparing high‑quality correspondence, reports, and presentations; taking accurate minutes; and liaising professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to communicate clearly and confidently on behalf of senior leaders.
  • High‑level technical proficiency, Particularly strong skills in PowerPoint (for executive presentations), Excel (for budgets, reports, and data analysis), and Word (for professional documentation). Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Teams or SharePoint is advantageous.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and discretion, demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and sound judgment. Builds trusted relationships through integrity and discretion, enabling successful collaboration
