Job description
What is the Role

We're looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Managing Director of SSEN’s Distribution business.

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to :

  • Arranging and approving travel, hospitality requests, visas, accommodation, and frequent travel to various other sites, with a constant focus on balancing business priorities with efficiency and value for money.
  • Day to day diary management and email monitoring, using judgement to help decide which meetings and appointments are of most strategic importance and the best use of the MD’s time.
  • Producing documents, briefing papers, reports, presentations and other materials to a high standard, consistently considering the audience and confidentiality impact.
  • Proactively support the management of controllable costs across the directorate, working across the business and corporate partners to check and challenge as required.
  • Direct line management of the other Personal Assistants to members of the Distribution Executive Committee providing leadership, support, guidance, coaching and direction to ensure a high level of service is consistently provided.
What do I need?

To be considered for role, we would love you to have :

  • Extensive experience as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant to a senior leader.
  • Demonstrable experience of the ability to research, digest, analyse and present material clearly and concisely to stakeholders on a variety of levels.
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of Office 365 suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint & Teams as a minimum.
  • Reliability, discretion and an understanding of confidential issues.
  • Great attention to detail and the ability to work to your own initiative under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Line Management and / or experience of coaching and developing others would be advantageous.
