A government health service in Launceston is seeking an Executive Assistant for the Emergency Department. This part-time position involves providing high-level administrative support to the leadership team, managing calendars, and handling confidential correspondence. Ideal candidates will possess strong organisational skills, high-level written and verbal communication abilities, and experience in similar roles. Salary ranges from $73,811 to $79,779 per annum with additional benefits offered.
The Emergency Department at Launceston General Hospital is a large, fast-paced service that operates 24/7 as the main referral centre for Northern Tasmania. The team is made up of emergency physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, paramedics, and support staff who work together to provide timely, high-quality care for patients presenting with a wide range of acute medical and trauma conditions.
The department is supported by experienced clinical and operational leaders who oversee service delivery, staff development, and continuous improvement initiatives. As part of this team, you will be working closely with senior executives and managers, providing the administrative support that enables them to focus on leading a critical service.

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 60 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

$73,811 to $79,779 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
