This role involves ensuring correct procedures are followed, admitting students, and potentially assisting students during exams. The school emphasizes respect, diversity, and staff well-being, providing a supportive work environment. Successful candidates will uphold the commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare in the education sector.
We are seeking to appoint Exam Invigilators with the drive to contribute to an atmosphere of respect, recognition, and mutual support within our Academy. Promoting equality and valuing the diversity of the Academy community is essential to our ethos. This role is essential to the smooth running of the examination process.
In addition to ensuring correct exam procedures are followed, you will be responsible for setting out and collecting exam papers and materials, admitting students to the exam hall / exam room and invigilating. Duties may also include reading and scribing for students.
We are an Ofsted Good rated, 11‑18 academy, with a thriving sixth form and a campus undergoing a transformation, based in the friendly, South Yorkshire town of Doncaster.
We are proud to say that our recent OFSTED inspection in 2024 cited that the school is a ‘Good’ school, identifying how the school is an ‘inclusive school’ where ‘pupils of every background are provided with the opportunities they need to be successful.’ We value our staff highly, and have established a truly supportive environment where staff training and well‑being is at the heart of all we do. We are focused on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased attainment, achievement and social and emotional development of our pupils is key so that they can navigate an ever‑changing world with confidence and resilience.
We are proud to have been awarded Silver Status by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health Award and to have received the IQM Award recommended as Centre of Excellence for Inclusion, which highlights our commitment to inclusion. We have also recently achieved our Eco Schools award along with our Leading the Way award for meeting all eight Gatsby Benchmarks to support employability for our students.
We work hard to ensure we reduce workload on staff, allowing more time in the classroom to put our vision of students first, raising standards and transforming lives into practice.
All academies within the Outwood Family have gained the IQM Inclusive Schools Award with 18 having Centre of Excellence status and one holding Flagship status.
