Responsibilities
  • Responsible for achieving events & banquet revenues, as well as the targets set by the Director of Events for the year, including generation of leads, prospecting, converting, team goal establishment, employee satisfaction survey results, etc
  • Assist in identifying market needs and trends in Catering, Wedding, Social, Conference and Corporate Businesses; define target markets, review direct competition and ensure complete awareness by all Sales Team of competitor’s activities, strategies, and promotions
  • Develop existing business and solicit new events business through lead generation and events sales marketing, solicit new events customers through traditional and non-traditional sales techniques
  • Compile key financial reports for business analysis, events & catering budget business plans, regular budget and forecast reports, team production tracking/management
  • Conduct market research on competitors’ analysis and market trends; monitor competitor set activities and intelligence sources to identify sources of business and prospect new leads/accounts to exceed fair market share performance
  • Maintain current market intelligence by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Requirements
  • Bachelor’ degree or above
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Events Sales position
  • Aggressive and positive working attitude
  • Solid sales experience in F&B, event and wedding planning within hotel / resort area, extensive knowledge and background in wedding planning / sales
  • In-depth industry knowledge and previous exposure to hotel social events sales models
  • Able to manage the identification and resolution of day-to-day problems related to event/wedding requests
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Events Sales Manager
