Section 3 What We Are Looking For

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for European entities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and/or review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and fluctuation analyses.
  • Support statutory audits and compliance across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Lead or support the preparation of key management reports to inform operational decision-making.
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting tools, systems, and processes to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
  • Partner with the EMEA Controllership Director on regional financial reporting and strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to group-level reporting and provide timely, accurate data to global headquarters.
  • Manage or support EMEA-wide finance projects to reduce close timelines and optimize accounting operations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for business partners, providing ad hoc reporting, financial insights, and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure a complete and effective internal control environment is maintained across European entities.
  • Participate in complex accounting initiatives in collaboration with finance and operations teams.
  • Possibly manage a small team of accountants, including oversight of daily tasks, performance reviews, and professional development.


Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's or MBA is a plus.

• Professional accounting qualification is preferred (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, RA, or local equivalent).

• Minimum 7 years of progressive finance or accounting experience in a multinational environment.

• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with at least one European GAAP.

• Advanced Excel skills: Power BI experience is a plus.

• ERP experience required (Oracle preferred); experience with SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and Noetix is beneficial.

• Familiarity with BlackLine (advantageous).

• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
