Overview

As the Operational Management of the ETS engineering group(s) across the various locations of Europe, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of engineering, consultancy, and project activities and continuous improvement of related business processes; development of strategic direction of the department in line with the long‑term plan of the ETS Industry Pillar. In this role, you will focus on the operational execution of SCADA, Terminal, and Pipeline solutions, as well as proposal support, monthly status reporting, risk management, quality, resource, and supplier planning. Additionally, another responsibility will be the continuous development of the team with highly qualified Engineers and consultants, ensuring professional skills that match our strategic plan and ETS market requirements. Optimizing execution processes based on the latest methodologies, internal and external standards and optimal use of Emerson World Area Hub and Global Engineering Center.

Responsibilities
  • To have overall responsibility for the management and delivery of ETS projects
  • To serve as the primary ETS engineering interface with SYSS pillars, Business Units, Hubs, and Sales
  • To act as the main point of contact for sales support and pursuit‑phase engineering engagement
  • To represent ETS engineering in Sales & Operations Planning
  • To present engineering delivery capabilities to customers during sales pursuits
  • To ensure engineering performance reporting, cost recovery, and budget adherence
  • To proactively escalation and resolve engineering issues
  • To ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (HSEQ)
  • To promote a continuous improvement, customer‑focused, and commercially driven culture
  • To participate in strategic business planning and annual budgeting
  • To monitor market trends and align ETS engineering capabilities with Emerson's strategy
  • To develop customer‑facing, value‑added ETS industry expertise
  • To drive innovation, productivity, and speed of execution
  • To leverage ETS Hubs to improve performance and cost effectiveness
  • To manage, coach, and develop direct reports
  • To identify current and future team skill requirements
  • To create a collaborative, high‑performing team environment
  • To ensure effective cooperation with Centers of Excellence (COEs)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work‑based experience.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on proven experience in line/people management.
  • 5+ years experience in the domain of Engineering & Consultancy.
  • Management‑level experience in a systems, software, process automation, or application engineering capacity.
  • Experience in developing customer relationships.
  • Local language skills with proficient English (verbal and written).
  • Excellent communicator.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree: A master's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in O&G midstream industry.
  • Understanding of Emerson's Pipeline & Terminal Solution portfolio or similar.
  • Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in an additional language besides English is preferred.
