Qualifications

  • Experience in grounds maintenance, caretaking, general cleaning, and basic repairs.
  • Ability to interpret written instructions and maintain records.
  • Practical experience in using hand tools and light machinery.
  • Literacy and numeracy equivalent to grade C GCSE English and Maths.
  • Full valid UK driving licence required for driving company vehicles.

Estate Technician

Lancing, East Sussex

£26,733- £28,140 per year

40 hours per week

We have an opportunity for an Estate Technician to join our team based in East Sussex, covering numerous sites across the region. This role will be part of the Estate Services team but will be working within a team of 2 as well as some lone working. In this role you will be responsible for cleaning communal areas, such as general needs, housing, and schemes across the region. A company van will be provided to travel to the different sites, along with the tools needed.

The role of Estate Technician will include:
  • Undertake basic repairs, grounds maintenance, caretaking and general cleaning, in accordance with agreed scheme specification
  • Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, in accordance with contract specifications and escalate complaints as appropriate
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks and ensure stock levels are maintained
  • Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
Skills and experiences:
  • Working knowledge and experience of undertaking grounds maintenance, caretaking, general cleaning and basic repairs duties
  • Recent experience in interpreting written instructions and maintaining simple written records
  • Some practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
  • Literacy and numeracy equivalent to grade C GCSE English and Maths
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
