Main purpose of the role:

The job holder is responsible for designing and delivering efficient, comprehensive training to all colleagues within Spicerhaart, aligned with the company vision. Proper training on processes and procedures is crucial to mitigate risks and impact on sales.

The role also involves assessing apprenticeships on the Spicerhaart Vocational Development Programme.

Location: Essex Region

Accountable to: Head of Training & Development EA

Responsible for: Training approximately 250 colleagues

Salary: £30-£40k depending on experience

Car / Allowance: Included

Main Duties:

  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs to enhance colleague performance in sales and customer experience.
  • Deliver training to ensure procedural compliance and legislative adherence.
  • Maintain and update training manuals reflecting current policies and legal requirements.
  • Support other departments with operations manuals.
  • Review and improve training materials for effective learning outcomes.
  • Stay updated on company procedures, systems, and legal requirements to inform training development.
  • Recommend best practices in training and implement where appropriate.
  • Participate in special projects and provide cover in other areas as needed.
  • Manage systems training, including e-learning platforms and blended learning solutions.
  • Oversee training projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Aim for 100% course completion rate among apprentices through support and assessment.
  • Uphold company standards and dress code at all times.

Role-specific competencies:

Degree-level education or CIPD qualification in Learning and Development, with at least 3 years of experience in sales, property, or retail sales. Experience with apprenticeship programs and assessment qualifications are preferred. Excellent communication and presentation skills, self-motivation, confidence, flexibility, accuracy, and organizational skills are essential.

Additional requirements include proof of address, National Insurance, and driver’s license checks.

*Subject to passing probation and completing 1 year of service.
