Overview

Job Title: EPD / NPD Technologist
Location: Minffordd, North Wales
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Are you passionate about product development and driving innovation from concept to launch? We’re looking for an EPD / NPD Technologist to join our team and play a key role in delivering New Product Development (NPD), Existing Product Development (EPD), and continuous improvement projects across our site.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, to the highest standards, and in line with both customer category plans and the JH Group strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinating factory samples, feasibility trials, and raw material orders.
  • Chairing and minuting development, feasibility, and pre-production meetings.
  • Writing accurate BOMs, raising codes, and managing product documentation (PCLs).
  • Preparing product handover packs and supporting production trials.
  • Tracking project critical paths and maintaining the site NPD tracker.
  • Analysing trial data (labour, wastage, cost) and reporting insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Overseeing launch readiness with pre-production and pre-launch meetings.
  • Driving continuous improvement in processes and project delivery.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of the product launch process (kitchen to factory trials through to launch).
  • Experience in trial data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with strong planning and project management ability.
  • Analytical, detail-focused, and numerically confident.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
