Job Summary:
This is a broad-spectrum Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Professional position that provides technical and professional support services to operations staff, with guidance and direction from the Senior EHS Manager. It is an on-the-floor (high visibility/floor presence) position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage environmental permitting to ensure all required permits are current and properly managed.
- Coordinate the facility's Risk Management Program (RPM) and Process Safety Management (PSM) for Anhydrous Ammonia.
- Oversee all environmental regulatory programs, including air, stormwater, wastewater, waste disposal, energy and water usage, and sustainability reporting.
- Maintain a compliance calendar and report on the status of environmental programs and permits.
- Identify opportunities to optimize energy and water usage and minimize waste, managing related tracking and projects.
- Update and implement the plant's Integrated Contingency Plan.
- Represent the site on the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC).
- Provide training to employees regarding environmental programs and permits.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and understanding of environmental aspects.
- Support other projects and duties within the EHS department as needed.
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field; 3-5 years of experience preferred.
- Relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- Experience in manufacturing, especially food & beverage, is a plus.

Physical and Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work in a factory environment, including walking, climbing, and standing for long periods.
