  • Applying and enforcing relevant legislation, including the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
  • Collaborating with planning and licensing teams to provide expert guidance.
  • Preparing legal notices, case documentation, and enforcement actions where necessary.

Environmental Protection Officer – Part-Time (Negotiable Hours)

Start Date: New Year

Location: Mix of office, home, and district work

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Protection Officer to join my client's team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong environmental health expertise to make an impact in a flexible role.

What’s on Offer?
  • Competitive hourly rate: £35–£45
  • Part-time: 15-21 hours per week (hours and days negotiable)
  • Initial contract: Until end of March, with potential for extension
  • On-site requirement: 1 or 2 days per week
Role Overview

You will play a key role in delivering environmental health services, including:

  • Investigating statutory nuisance cases (noise, smoke, odours, light pollution, etc.)
