Qualifications

🚀 The Job Mission

This is a hybrid role, requiring regular on‑site presence in Bridgwater, with relocation support available where needed. You act as the primary regulatory interface between site teams and nuclear regulators, enabling effective compliance, transparency and readiness across construction and delivery activities.

  • Manage day‑to‑day regulatory interface with ONR and Environment Agency
  • Coordinate site‑based regulatory meetings, inspections and formal engagements
  • Ensure regulatory protocols and engagement processes are consistently followed
  • Support site teams and contractors during regulatory visits and inspections
  • Track, manage and drive closure of regulatory actions and issues
  • Coordinate regulatory documentation submission and information transmittal
  • Provide clear regulatory advice to site and delivery stakeholders
  • Produce reports supporting regulatory oversight and site compliance
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in science, engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Experience working directly with nuclear or environmental regulators
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in construction environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a regulated, high‑pressure environment
  • Experience supporting regulatory inspections and audits
  • Strong organisational and action‑tracking capability
  • Experience on large nuclear construction projects
  • Familiarity with ONR regulatory frameworks and processes
  • Experience working on licensed nuclear sites
  • Understanding of nuclear safety culture principles
  • Experience coordinating contractor regulatory interactions
