A leading energy company in Inverness seeks an Environmental Advisor to support renewable and transmission projects. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field, 3+ years of experience in environmental roles, and strong communication skills. This site-based role requires a valid UK driving license and willingness to travel. What will you be doing
We are looking for an enthusiastic and competentEnvironmental Advisorto work within our Transmission and Renewables business. We are a leading partner in the largest programme of energy infrastructure upgrade works in the UK since the construction of the National Grid.
This role will besite based, and we are recruiting to support our Scottish clients, although there may be occasional travel to England and Wales. Therefore adriving licence, willingness to traveland overnight staysare essential requirements.
As anEnvironmental Advisor, You will need to be able tocompetently review information and extract the key elementsto inform the site teams you are working with. This will also include surveys for construction and reinstatement stages of projects. Written responses to tender questions, including risks, opportunities, innovations and so on are key to our success in winning future work.
We’re looking for someone with anactive interest in environmental and sustainability issuesand aknowledgeof subjects such as waste management, data analysis, sustainability issues, cultural heritage, consents, pollution, water management. Due to the vast amount of subject matter that you may experience within the role, on the job training and mentoring is provided to improve any gaps in knowledge.
Working alongside theEnvironment and Sustainability Manager, this role willdirectly influence the way the company is run through the development, maintenance and implementation of environmental management procedures and processes to ensure the business is legally compliant and delivers continual improvement,good practices and dissemination of such to others.
