English Teacher - Skelmersdale

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an English Teacher to join a dynamic SEN Secondary School in the Skelmersdale area. This role is due to start in December and can be offered on a full-time basis. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and confident English Teacher to take over the class and deliver high-quality teaching in English Language and Literature.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in English Language and Literature to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Creating a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning
  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress regularly
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies
  • Adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
Qualifications
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed., or BA Hons with QTS)
  • Be eligible to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have prior experience working with children
  • Have teaching experience in English Language and English Literature.
  • Provide two professional references covering the last 2 years (ideally involving work with children)
  • Hold an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one
