Salary: GBP33,000 - GBP45,000 (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025

We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Watford that has built a strong reputation for being inclusive, supportive, and focused on helping students achieve their best both academically and personally.

They are looking for a passionate and committed English Teacher to join the team from September on a long-term basis. Whether you're an experienced teacher or just starting out (ECTs welcome), if you have a genuine love for literature and language and enjoy bringing creativity into the classroom, this could be a great fit for you.

What the role involves:

  • Teaching English Language and Literature to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Creating engaging and challenging lessons that spark curiosity and build confidence
  • Helping students develop strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • Marking work, providing meaningful feedback, and tracking progress
  • Participating in curriculum planning and contributing new ideas
  • Encouraging involvement in reading groups, creative writing, and school-wide literacy projects
  • Being an active part of the school community

  • QTS or equivalent (preferred, but not essential for the right candidate)
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject
