Lecturer A English — Full Time/Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Deliver on a range of courses including GCSE and Functional Skills. Ability to teach AS/A-Level would be advantageous.
  • Motivate, enthuse and engage learners in English with a proven track record of helping learners to succeed.
  • Support students to become independent learners who meet English standards and are able to apply skills in the world of work; use learning technology to enhance and extend knowledge and skills.
  • Multi-site delivery will be required, with regular travel between College sites and delivery locations within the Borough.
Qualifications
  • Hold excellent English qualifications.
  • Have a proven track record of impact (recent Cert Ed/PGCE graduates will also be considered).
  • Possess outstanding subject knowledge and passion for your subject.

Levelling-up premium (benefit)
  • Eligible FE teachers may claim a levelling-up premium for teaching courses in building and construction, chemistry, computing, early years, engineering and manufacturing, maths, and physics.
  • Payment ranges from £2,000 to £6,000 depending on the provider and number of hours taught.
  • If you’re in your first 5 years of teaching in FE and spend at least half of your hours teaching eligible FE courses at level 3 or below, you may be eligible.
