Join us to make a positive impact on the environment and our communities, while being valued and supported in a truly inclusive workplace.
Join our team as an Engineering Technical Specialist supporting the delivery of nationally significant Strategic Resource Options (SROs) – major water supply, transfer, treatment, and storage projects ranging from £150m to £1.5bn.
You’ll work alongside Engineering Technical Leads, Consultants, and Regulatory partners to develop innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions that shape water resilience, including engineering, operational, and costing strategies for both long‑term and emergency projects.
This is your chance to contribute to projects that will safeguard water and the environment for generations to come, while growing your career within one of the UK’s most forward‑thinking utilities.
You’ll be expected to work in the Midlands (England). You’ll work within our Engineering Team. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week. Flexible working from home is available, though travel to other sites will be required at times – a full UK driving licence is essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the future of water supply while developing your career in a collaborative and forward‑thinking environment.
Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too. We welcome and celebrate diverse individuals, knowing they help us better serve our communities. We seek people who get involved, want to be part of something bigger, and make a difference because they care.
Working here isn’t just a job. You’ll be building a career at Severn Trent. We’ll reward you for it, too. We have a range of benefits that recognise great work, and award‑winning training to help you reach your potential. And we’ll also help you play your part in looking after the environment and the communities where we live.
If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to hear from you. Have an updated CV ready — it only takes a few minutes to apply. We review every application carefully and will be in touch shortly after the closing date, so keep an eye on your phone and emails.
