An international energy company in Connah's Quay is offering an Engineering placement role for students pursuing a degree in relevant Engineering fields. In this role, you will work alongside various teams to ensure top technical and safety standards, while gaining valuable experience in engineering practices. The placement lasts 48 weeks, starting in September 2026, and includes numerous professional development opportunities and benefits including a competitive salary and enhanced pension contributions.
Part of a dynamic engineering team meeting the technical challenges of maintaining and improving plant performance, through utilising theoretical knowledge you've gained in your studies with hands‑on, practical experience. If given the role, several suitable projects will be assigned to you, and it will be your responsibility to complete these, with support from the team to a high standard during your placement at Connah's Quay Power Station. Post employment you will be fully onboarded and introduced to your new colleagues to make you feel part of the team. Your initial activities will include spending time with the different teams on site to develop an understanding of each team's contribution to the success of the power station.
