Location: Yeovil (on-site)
PAYE SALARY: £30,000 - £35,000
Contract: 6 months (with potential to extend)
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00-17:00 (some flexibility)
We’re recruiting for an Engineering Support Specialist to join a leading Aerospace organisation based in Yeovil. This is a great opportunity for someone with configuration, engineering support or strong technical admin experience who wants to work in a structured, process-driven environment.
Working as part of the on‑site engineering team, you will:
Provide Configuration Management support to engineers at all levels.
Support and follow robust configuration management processes and procedures.
Assist with tracking, controlling and updating engineering configuration data.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to help resolve configuration issues.
Provide guidance to engineering teams on configuration management best practice.
Work to pre‑defined processes, standards and guidelines under close supervision.
Report into the on‑site manager and Escalate risks or issues where required.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Experience in an engineering, technical support, configuration, document control or similar environment.
Good understanding of working to pre‑defined processes and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling technical information.
Confident communication skills to liaise with engineers and other functions.
Ability to follow instructions and work under immediate supervision.
Educated to high school level (or equivalent); further technical education is an advantage.
This role is within the aerospace sector and requires:
Full BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance, including:
Proof of legal Right to Work in the UK
Criminal Records Check (UK DBS)
Drugs screening
You must be willing and able to undergo and pass all required checks.
