A national postal service in Gateshead is seeking a Senior Project Manager for technical contract and project management of automation programs. The role involves managing contracts valued up to £100 million and leading efforts for tender responses. Ideal candidates will have experience in automated processes, large-scale project management, and strong communication skills. The position is primarily on-site with some flexibility for remote work.
You will report into the Engineering Project Manager Lead and manage projects with a spend as high as £100 million. This is a senior role in the Systems Programmes strand of engineering. You will be responsible for technical contract and project management aspects of major automation programmes and change, and will take the lead on contractual components of an automation supply contract, providing technical oversight of the tender process for automation procurement and then providing technical supplier management in the delivery of the project.
This role needs to be fully mobile to work from whatever site is the most suitable, often in the Gloucester Manufacturing facility, or any Royal Mail or supplier site in the UK or Northern Ireland. It is primarily based on-site with opportunities for occasional remote work as required.
