Overview

Job Title: Engineering Geologist

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000

A new opportunity has opened for an Engineering Geologist in Milton Keynes. Are you looking for a role that offers a clear progression path?

Role and responsibilities

This role involves leading intrusive ground investigation works, including the supervision of rotary and cable percussive drilling. You will oversee site activities, manage subcontractors, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and carry out high-quality soil and rock logging. The position acts as a key link between site operations and office-based reporting, supporting the successful delivery of ground investigation projects.

The role of the Engineering Geologist will involve ground investigation design, Phase 1 desk studies, interpretative report writing, conducting geotechnical risk assessments, and liaising directly with clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of geo-environmental and geotechnical experience.

As an Engineering Geologist, you will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, share your technical knowledge, and continue developing your skills under the guidance of senior and principal engineers.
