Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to lead design input across multi-disciplinary projects within our real estate, infrastructure and defence sectors.

You will oversee external design consultants, manage multidisciplinary teams, evaluate designs, and ensure buildability and compliance. Strong BIM knowledge and CAD proficiency are essential, with a degree in engineering and substantial experience in full project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of design and management experience.
• Experience of buildings fit-out, defence industry and machine integration preferable.
• Around 5 years' experience managing design through full project lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of BIM and common data environments (CDE).
• Degree/HNC in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Project Manager to manage the contract with external design consultants.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers from consultants and partner companies.
• Evaluate designs and solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and design coordinators.
• Liaise with clients, engineering managers, project managers, contractors and consultants.
