Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to lead design input on multi-disciplinary projects from early concepts through delivery. You will ensure designs are buildable, compliant, and efficient while coordinating with clients and external consultants.

The role requires strong leadership, communication skills and a deep understanding of BIM and data environments. It involves managing design through the full lifecycle across sectors including transport, real estate and highways.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of design and management experience.
• Knowledge of BIM and common data environments.
• Experience with buildings fit-out, defence industry and machine integration is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Project Manager to manage the contract with external design consultants.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers from consultants and partner companies.
• Evaluate designs and solutions.
• Liaise with clients, engineering managers, project managers, contractors and consultants.
