Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Engineering Design Manager to lead design input on multi‑disciplinary infrastructure projects from concept through delivery. You will ensure designs are buildable, compliant, innovative and efficient while coordinating with clients and consultants.

You will manage multi‑disciplinary teams, drive constructability reviews and integrate civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical work across the asset lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing design through the full project lifecycle.
• Degree qualified, in engineering (Mechanical or Building Services) or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience of BIM and common data environments.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred (CIBSE/IMechE or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead design input on multi-disciplinary projects from concept through delivery.
• Manage external design consultants and design interfaces and guide the design process.
• Coordinate with Clients, Project Managers, Contractors and Consultants on project issues and changes.
• Embed health, safety and environmental considerations into all engineering and design solutions.
• Drive constructability reviews and integration across civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical functions.
