Are you looking to join a skilled and professional engineering team, maintaining and repairing a modern, diverse fleet? We’re looking for two qualified mechanics or technicians with an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) to join us as Engineers at our Plymouth depot.

Our Plymouth depot operates a diverse fleet of 100 vehicles, including single-deck and double-deck buses as well as coaches, providing vital transport across the Devon network.

What does the role involve?

As an Engineer at our Plymouth depot, youll play a key role in keeping our fleet running safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include carrying out routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and reliability standards. Youll work as part of a skilled team, following scheduled maintenance plans, responding to defects, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.

This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, as well as the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Whether it’s performing inspections, diagnosing faults, or carrying out major component changes, youll help ensure our passengers get a smooth and reliable journey every day.

You'll also maintain accurate records of all work completed, ensuring compliance with company and legal safety standards. Working closely with colleagues and supervisors, you'll contribute to a positive and professional workshop environment.

This role is based on a 39-hour working week, with opportunities for overtime. Both day and shift work options are available.

A valid driving licence is required, and a PCV licence is desirable.

The successful candidate will be subject to a probationary period.
