Overview

Engineer - Improvements | 9426 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £37,280 to £39,152 per annum (Scale I) | County Hall, Norwich

This position in our Asset and Capital Programme Management Team is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future output of the Highways Capital Programme.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development of the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) pipeline of feasibility studies and an increasing improvements programme to deliver value for money and achieve national, Local Transport Plan and local targets.
  • Help form proposals that support internal and external funding opportunities, ensuring Norfolk maintains its successful record in securing funding from the Department for Transport and other sources.
  • Support the implementation of the Highway Capital Programme within allocated budgets, which consists of hundreds of projects per annum ranging from small maintenance schemes to major projects.
Qualifications
  • Experience in the development of highway proposals, project and financial management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and deliver solutions as part of a team.
  • Good broadband connectivity for remote/hybrid working.
