Engineer (m/f/d) Reliability Development – join our team and take a significant role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) powertrains and sub-systems. As a Reliability Development Engineer, you will work closely with internal and external experts, plan and coordinate validation and inspection programs, and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art powertrains. Your work will be instrumental in supporting our race and test events worldwide.

Your Tasks
  • collaborate with internal and external experts to develop and approve ICE powertrains and sub-systems
  • take responsibility for planning, coordinating, analyzing, documenting, and reporting on the powertrain validation and inspection program
  • work with the team to define system and component reliability test patterns and validation criteria
  • conduct failure root cause analyses, analyze data and build a comprehensive database
  • plan, execute, and follow up on reliability tests on transient test benches and tracks
  • develop and define test procedures, set limits, and specify test strategies
  • utilize knowledge and experience with relevant measurement and analysis tools
The successful candidate will
  • have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • have expertise in metallurgy and material properties in engine application
  • be proficient in fracture surface analysis and failure mechanisms investigations
  • show familiarity with engine data analysis
  • show practical experience with used engine parts
  • display proficiency in both written and spoken English, excellent teamwork, strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward flexible working hours
  • be willing to travel as needed
