Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced engine fitter to join our professional workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and testing reconditioned engines and components, ensuring all work meets the quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit reconditioned engines and cylinder heads, and related components.
  • Dismantle and inspect engines to identify faults, wear and damage.
  • Carry out the mechanical repairs and rebuilds in accordance with technical standards.
  • Operate and maintain workshop rods and machinery safely and accurately.
  • Conduct testing and quality checks to ensure all work meets company requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an engine fitter, mechanic, or engine reconditioner.
  • Strong understanding of both petrol and diesel engine systems.
  • Excellent mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and follow precise assembly procedures.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

You must provide your own hand tools, these tools can remain on site, and will be insured under the company.
