End of Life and Palliative Care Lead Nurse

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic nurse with a passion and commitment to the provision of high quality, evidence based end of life and palliative care.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a substantive Lead Nurse role within the Trust Corporate Patient Service Team to work in collaboration with the Head of Nursing for End of Life and Palliative Care and members of the Trust End of Life Oversight Committee to provide strategic oversight and direction in relation to the planning and delivery of end of life and palliative care across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Develop and maintain communication with people on complex matters, issues and ideas and/or in complex situations.

Develop and maintain an environment and culture that improves health, safety and security.

Work in partnership with others to develop, take forward and evaluate direction, for a range of policies, service developments and strategies across palliative care services.

Coordinate, monitor and review the use of financial resources across End of Life and Palliative Care services.

Plan, coordinate and monitor the delivery of services and / or other projects related to End of Life and Palliative Care.
