Job summary

ABM UK is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to provide specialist ER advice and case management UK-wide. The role supports managers to handle people matters fairly and in line with policies, employment legislation and values, while participating in a tiered, flexible ER delivery model.

Reporting to the Senior Employee Relations Manager, you will manage a broad range of cases, coach managers, and contribute to continuous improvement across the Employee Relations function.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
• Degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related discipline.
• Desirable: experience supporting Employee Relations in a large, complex or outsourced organisation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Employee Relations cases, including performance, conduct, attendance, grievance and capability matters.
• Provide practical Employee Relations advice and guidance to managers at all levels.
• Conduct investigations and prepare clear, evidence-based investigation reports.
• Support managers through formal Employee Relations processes, ensuring consistency and compliance.
• Identify opportunities for early intervention and informal resolution where appropriate.
• Escalate complex or high-risk matters in line with the agreed operating framework.

Education
