Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be supporting a long-established electronics manufacturer in Dundee as they look to add an Electronics Technician to their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business serving a wide range of UK and international customers across advanced technology sectors.

The Opportunity

In this hands‑on role, you will play a key part in the assembly, test, and validation of electronic and electromechanical products. Working closely with engineering and production teams, you will help ensure high‑quality output across both in‑house products and client‑specified equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electromechanical components and PCB assemblies to engineering drawings, route cards, and IPC standards.
  • Test electronic and power‑supply assemblies to Production Test Schedules, ensuring accurate recording of all results.
  • Support kitting activities for production orders.
  • Read and interpret circuit diagrams and engineering specifications.
  • Maintain and update a database of test equipment, ensuring calibration status is current and liaising with vendors as required.
  • Undertake potting, coating, and detailed assembly work in accordance with drawings and procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in quality, safety, and production performance.
About You

You will bring strong practical electronics experience and a high attention to detail, along with the ability to work well within a collaborative engineering environment.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • HNC (or modern equivalent) in Engineering.
  • Skilled in soldering to IPC J-STD-001 standards.
  • Experience in assembly and testing of electronic assemblies.
  • Able to read circuit diagrams and fault‑find to component level.
  • Familiarity with PCB design and layout tools such as Altium, KiCad, or OrCAD.
