A leading defense technology company in Ashford is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to design and support electronic systems for unmanned target vehicles. The role involves working closely with a team of engineers in a factory environment, contributing to product development and ongoing support. Candidates should have a degree in Electronics Engineering or related field and experience in electronics design. The position offers hybrid working patterns and the opportunity to engage in complex, rewarding projects.
As an Electronics Design Engineer, you’ll play a key part in designing, developing and supporting electronic systems for a family of unmanned target vehicles used in live trials and operational training environments.
Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with mechanical and software engineers in a factory-based, in-house environment, contributing to both new product development and the ongoing support of established platforms.

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Ashford, Kent site. Hybrid working patterns are available (minimum 2 days onsite, flexibility offered). Occasional international travel to trials and test sites will be expected.
This role is based at QinetiQ’s Ashford site, home to QinetiQ Target Systems. The facility combines design, manufacturing, testing and trials support, offering engineers the opportunity to see products through the full lifecycle, from concept and design to live operational use.
