Electronic Production Engineer

Join an award-winning company and a world leader in their field who are seeking a Production Electronic Engineer to work on products at the cutting edge of technology in the entertainment, engineering, and life science industries. This role is crucial for ensuring the high performance and quality of our innovative hardware products.
Day-to-day of the role
- Supervise the Test team, providing technical and observational support.
- Ensure ongoing quality of products through final testing, including version updates, final test report analysis, visual inspections, and correct setup of lenses.
- Diagnose faults in product assemblies and sub-assemblies to component level, managing repairs either in-house or through manufacturer returns.
- Maintain and routinely test camera facilities to ensure they meet specifications, documenting control tests and raising tickets as necessary.
- Write and update test specifications and instructions for products, ensuring documentation is maintained.
- Generate detailed reports on investigations, tests, and conclusions for management and development teams.
- Manage the RMA system, ensuring timely turnaround and repair prioritization.
- Provide technical advice and support to the Production Manager, Quality Manager, and other key personnel.
- Actively contribute to new product teams, ensuring design for manufacturability and testability.
- Assist in the design and improvement of testing protocols, tools, jigs, and gauges for new and existing products.
- Support other production areas as needed to meet business demands, maintaining an organized and tidy workspace.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience in production engineering with 5+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in reading schematics; CAD and Altium experience preferred.
- Essential board-level test and debug experience, including SMT and through-hole rework.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a commitment to company goals.
