Job summary

A leading FMCG manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Electrician to join their site in East Lothian. You will be responsible for maintaining and testing electrical installations, with a focus on fault diagnosis and routine maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess a City & Guilds qualification and experience in the manufacturing sector. This full-time role offers a Monday to Friday schedule with an on-call rota.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in Manufacturing is ideal.
  • Time served Electrician required.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety Legislation is necessary.

Job description

Are you an experienced Electrician looking to either continue working within the FMCG sector, or potentially make a move into this area? If so, this opportunity might be the move for you!

My client is a leading FMCG manufacturing organisation with an impressive history and a fantastic reputation within the industries they serve. Due to a range of innovative developments and investment, they are going through an extensive period of growth. This includes new state-of-the-art manufacturing assets.

They are currently looking to recruit an Electrician to join their site in East Lothian. This a Monday - Friday dayshift role. There is also an on-call rota. This is 1 in 4.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, renew, test and maintain electrical installations as required, meeting all site requirements.
  • Inspect, test and issue certification for electrical installations and repairs.
  • Carry out planned routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, corrective maintenance on site machinery.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and ensure it is kept up to date.
  • Isolation and de-isolations in accordance with permit to work code of practice.
  • Ensure good engineering and housekeeping procedures in all work areas.
Qualifications
  • Ideally have experience of working in Manufacturing.
  • Time served Electrician.
  • Qualified to City & Guilds level or above.
  • An understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Knowledge of rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
  • Highly organised.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
