Job description

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join our team, responsible for performing scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, adjustments, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Observe systems in operation to detect failures and troubleshoot malfunctions using diagrams, manuals, and test instruments.
  • Dismantle devices, remove defective parts, and inspect components for compliance with specifications.
  • Test and calibrate systems to ensure proper operation using precision measuring instruments.
  • Issue permits to work for high‑risk activities and monitor contractor compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, review work orders, and estimate time and materials for tasks.
  • Order necessary materials and supplies, ensuring cost awareness and timely completion of work.
  • Suggest improvements and innovations to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of electrical processes and systems.
  • Ideally experienced in electrical maintenance within the FM sector and multi‑site environments.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain high service standards.
  • Committed to safety, compliance, and delivering quality work.
  • Valid UK driving licence (essential for travel between sites).
  • Fully electrically qualified (18th Edition, C&G/NVQ Electrical Installations, AM2; additional qualifications are a bonus).
  • This role requires a strong understanding of electrical processes and the ability to work in compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and company policies.
