Job Details

Job Role: Electrician
Location: HM Prison Erlestoke, Erlestoke House, Erlestoke, Devizes SN10 5TU
Salary: £40,579.20 per annum, (includes £1k RRA), plus overtime payments after 6 months
Contract: Permanent, Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
Holidays are 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays, and a range of non-contractual benefits are provided. These range from Death in Service at 4x salary, to access to private GP consultations and an Employee Assistance Programme that offers counselling and information services for preventative care and to help employees in a crisis. There are also a range of financial reward mechanisms and access to retailer discounts.

About the Role

We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Erlestoke, a category C adult male prison.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a Electrician with any combination of:

  • Two years' experience working in a role as an electrician
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
  • Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
  • Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
  • Certificate in BS7671 2018 (18th edition)
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
