Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic tools.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks to minimise downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and machinery as required.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimise disruption and optimise equipment availability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and safety standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Electrical engineering qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills and knowledge of PLC systems, inverters, and control panels.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as required to support 24/7 operations.
