ROLE SUMMARY

The Electrical Update Engineer – Flamingo will provide technical leadership in scripting, testing, and delivering vehicle update packs using the Flamingo automated update tool. Acting as the first line of support for all Flamingo-based vehicle update activities, the Electrical Update Engineer – Flamingo will investigate issues, interface with internal engineering teams, and ensure updates are validated, compliant, and delivered effectively. This position requires strong automotive electrical architecture understanding, diagnostic expertise, and experience coding / writing scripts for vehicle systems.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generate Flamingo update scripts, bespoke test scripts, and update packs based on project requirements.
• Attend change control meetings to obtain update information and liaise with project teams.
• Validate Flamingo updates on allocated fleet vehicles, checking compatibility and integration dependencies.
• Perform backend analysis of Flamingo results and oversee issue resolution.
• Support compliance with relevant regulations relating to vehicle update baselines.
• Analyse Flamingo traces and diagnose failures relating to ZDC development using UDS error codes.
• Provide Flamingo support to Engineering, Quality, Aftersales, Durability and wider functions.
• Act as the first point of technical support for all Flamingo update related enquiries.
