Job description

Overview

Electrical Technician – Somerset. £17.23 - £18.25 per hour + Yearly Bonus. Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 1:30pm.

The Role

• Planning and wiring of machines and control panels following detailed electrical drawings
• Wiring electrical equipment, including PLC control systems, motors, drives, relays, transformers, and HMIs
• On-machine wiring involving trunking, cable trays, junction boxes, and various sensors
• Working to health and safety guidelines
• Fault finding and troubleshooting electrical systems
• Collaborating within a supportive team environment

The Person

• Ideally a fully time-served electrician with control panel or on-machine wiring experience
• Must have experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings/schematics
• 18th Edition wiring regulations required
• Competence in wiring electrical equipment, including PLC control systems (no software or programming knowledge required)
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with fault finding in electrical systems
