A leading water utility company in the UK seeks an experienced Electrical Technician to work at its water production sites. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment, ensuring operational efficiency for more than 16 million customers. The ideal candidate should have a strong electrical background, NVQ or C&G level 3 in electrical engineering, and a valid UK driving licence. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £42,000 along with excellent benefits.
We seek an experienced Electrical Technician based at our water production sites in East Thames Valley.
As a successful candidate, you will use your electrical knowledge to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical equipment in a safe, efficient, timely and effective manner with minimum supervision, ensuring that our sites remain operational for the benefit of our customers.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to Thames Water's environmental impact, and you will be actively helping to reduce pollution from our sites.
Base Location: Speen WTW, Newbury RG14 1RT.
Working pattern: 38 hours per week, Monday-Friday 07:30 am - 3:30 pm, plus inclusion on a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment.
All PPE, tools, plus the provision of a van when on duty and call.
You should be a time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems or with NVQ or C&G level 3 in electrical engineering.
