A major utility provider in the UK is seeking an Electrical Technician focusing on the maintenance and installation of electrical systems across their production sites. The role includes managing control panels, pumps, and motors and demands a Level 3 NVQ in electrical qualifications. The ideal candidate will be organised, able to solve problems, and work within a team to ensure operational efficiency while adhering to health and safety standards. A supportive environment exists for both seasoned professionals and emerging talent in this vital infrastructure role.
Are you an electrical expert looking for a role where your technical skills actually make a difference to your local community? Do you want to work for a company that values your expertise while respecting your time away from work?
At South East Water, we provide an essential service, and our production sites are the heart of that operation. This isn't just another maintenance job; it’s a chance to take ownership of complex electrical systems across our pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment works.
We are particularly keen to hear from those with industrial experience—we need people who understand the scale and pace of the maintaining our sites. Whether you are a seasoned pro looking for a better work life balance, or rising talent eager to apply your industrial knowledge to vital infrastructure, you’ll find a supportive environment here.
You’ll be the go to person for keeping our water flowing, maintaining everything from control panels to high capacity industrial pumps. It’s challenging, varied, and vital work where no two days are the same. This will involve maintaining and installing electrical systems and equipment such as control panels, pumps, motors, water quality analysers, and chemical dosing equipment. Additionally, this role will respond to breakdowns, oversee the work of contractors, and perform necessary repairs and enhancements.
Employees are required to be flexible and to be prepared to perform duties and other tasks within their capabilities. The nature of our business is such that the contents of any job profile are subject to change from time to time.
We know the communities we serve are diverse. We recognise creativity comes from diversity not similarity. That’s why we are enthusiastic about creating inclusion across age, race, gender, ethnicity, religion and identity. You will experience our dedication to equal opportunities and fair treatment for all: through your recruitment, employment and career progression with South East Water.
South East Water kindly asks that recruitment agencies refrain from submitting CVs to our employees or associates without explicit invitation from our HR Resourcing team. CVs sent on a speculative basis will not be acknowledged and will not assume any responsibility for fees or commissions in the event that we hire a candidate who applied directly or subsequently introduced by an instructed agency.
