Job summary

A leading NHS Trust in Tees Valley is looking for an experienced Maintenance Craftsperson (Electrical) to join its Estates Team. The role involves providing efficient maintenance and repair services across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Candidates must have completed a recognized electrical apprenticeship and possess NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Bias. This full-time position offers a challenging environment focused on quality improvement and patient care.

Qualifications

  • Must have successfully completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Bias or equivalent qualifications.
  • Demonstrate numeracy and literacy skills at level 2.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance and repair services for Trust properties.
  • Carry out installation and improvement works according to standards.
  • Assist other trades and ensure tools and equipment are maintained.
  • Participate in the out of hours on-call service.

Understanding of associated trades and relationships
Ability to travel independently
On-call participation
Time management and prioritisation
Attention to detail
Ability to work in confined spaces
Experience in an NHS environment
Multi-skilled electrical experience
Post-apprenticeship experience in electrical discipline

Education

Successful completion of recognised electrical bias apprenticeship
NVQ Level 3 (Electrical Bias) or equivalent
