Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join our Energy Unit's Transmission & Distribution team. You will deliver electrical design solutions for major infrastructure projects from concept to commissioning, including 11kV/33kV switchgear and renewable connections.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, lead technical bids, and support junior staff while ensuring compliance with client specifications, budgets, and schedules.

Qualifications

• Chartered engineer or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proven skills and experience in the sectors listed in the role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Coordinate with multi disciplines both internal and external.
• Experience in electrical project engineering with LV to 11kV/33kV focus.
• Competent in MS Office and related tools.
• Awareness of bid procedures and internal governance.
• Understanding of procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions and project leadership in electrical designs for major works.
• Contribute to bids and proposals and project planning.
• Manage engineering projects and deliverables to meet client expectations, budget, and schedule.
• Support and develop junior staff and graduates.
• Review design submissions against client scope and standards.
