Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join the Energy unit's Transmission & Distribution division in the UK. You will deliver electrical designs from concept through to commissioning for 11kV/33kV networks and renewable connections, leading projects and guiding junior staff.

Ideal candidates are Chartered with strong communication skills, experience across LV to 33kV, and the ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams. Some UK travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Chartered status or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in electrical project engineering, LV to 11kV/33kV.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for specifications and reports.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines, internal and external.
• Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical solutions and project leadership for electrical designs in major projects.
• Prepare and review bids, proposals, and client specifications.
• Manage project planning, delivery, and execution to time and budget.
• Develop junior staff and graduates within the team.
• Oversee site surveys and design submissions for 11kV/33kV networks.
