Job summary

Mott MacDonald has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Power Transmission and Distribution team. The successful candidate will develop innovative solutions for power transmission grid systems and client installations, ensuring security of electricity supply and integrating renewable energy sources.

Your role involves coordinating with clients and internal teams across lifecycle stages, with a hybrid working policy and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in power transmission and distribution industry.
• Design, delivery and supervision of HV substation solutions (110kV-400kV).
• Development of specifications for HV AIS/GIS substations and equipment.
• Experience across all project lifecycle stages.
• Applying regulatory and client health and safety requirements to HV designs.
• Preparation of technical reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Primary plant layout for HV substations.
• Equipment specifications for HV Plant and ancillary equipment.
• Engineering design input to major electrical power projects through lifecycle stages.
• Coordination with client project teams and internal disciplines within Mott MacDonald.
• Delivering projects in new technologies (energy storage, HVDC, smart grids).
• Provide services to UK and overseas clients.
