Expression of Interest: Electrical Design Engineer (Outside IR35)

Role: Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Daresbury / Middlesbrough / Thorton-Cleveleys / Harlow

Start Date: March 2026

Status: 6 months, Outside IR35

Workscope

The PSC will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical (and control and instrumentation) design solutions for complex systems and installations within the process / industrial sector. You will work independently, whilst part of a wider multidisciplinary design engineering team providing expertise and technical direction throughout the design lifecycle.

Services to be Provided

• Develop detailed electrical, control and instrumentation designs and schematics in compliance with relevant standards.
• Produce accurate calculations, documentation, drawings, and specifications for project delivery.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet functional and safety requirements.
• Provide technical input during design reviews and resolve design-related queries.
• Ensure all deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven track record in electrical design engineering within industrial or process environments.
• Strong knowledge of applicable regulations and standards
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Amteck
• Ability to work independently and manage your own deliverables.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
