SCINERGY are recruiting an Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join the maintenance department of a power station in Kemsley, Kent.

As the E,C&I Engineer, you'll lead all maintenance and engineering activities linked to the site's electrical, control and instrumentation systems, ensuring high plant availability and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a small team of Technicians delivering planned and reactive maintenance
  • Drive safety standards across the maintenance department and ensure safe systems of work for contractors
  • Work closely with the Mechanical Engineer and Maintenance Manager during outages and shutdowns
  • Use the CMMS to prioritise preventative maintenance effectively
  • Support maintenance strategy development, system upgrades and capital projects
  • Manage and supervise on-site contractors
About You
  • Time-served apprenticeship in electrical/electronic engineering with HND/HNC or similar
  • Minimum 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience in an electrical or C&I role within heavy industry - EFW, power, chemicals, paper production etc
  • Strong technical understanding of EC&I systems including DCS, SCADA, PLCs, switchgear, motors, drives and instrumentation
  • Experience leading or supervising small engineering/maintenance teams
  • HV experience is desirable
